Time never remains the same....so does not the society which born, grows, lives and perishes with a hope to be born again. Hope, faith, love, concern and affection too live, grows and fades away with time, with a renewed hope to be born again. A recent experience felt through, put back my faith in it, which had started to wither away..with a dim hope to feel it again some day. It so happened on one of the fateful day, as I was driving back home from the college, a ghostly feeling which I was sensing since few days, of meeting with a road accident, an indication of it through a powerful sensing of a presence of a figure in a white robe sitting next to my bedside, and again visible to my senses on the road which were brushed aside by me with a feeling that it was just an illusion....would come alive to be a reality didn't take me by surprise. As I drove, at a controlled speed..........crossing one of the square, was taken over from a wrong side by a white car dashing into my kinetic and before I could understand what happened, was down on the road...the fellow in the car didn't have the appetite to see his wrong done, so drove recklessly at a high speed and I to be nicely picked up by the passer-by's...putting my scooter to a side, with me more bothered to see the number of the car. Coming to the side, one of the fellows took out the mobile and said, 'madam, I will just call the police'. I nodded my head and waited for him to do the needful..with my eyes on the fanciful mobile waiting to be dialled........wait seemed to get stretched for the number to be dialled, so I said to him, 'will manage myself' and the well dressed and well equipped man walked away saying, 'Okay Madam'. Stood next to me now, were a poor boy and a man having a road side shop..asking me to have some water so that I felt better and man asking the boy to rush to get it....before I could say, 'No, "Thank You".. Have got a water bottle'....stood before me the little boy with water in a mug.I looked amazingly, at him and the 'Mug'... for a moment, getting lost in the innocent ex-pression of concern...with his unaware eyes and my thoughtful ones, expressing "that this is what I can offer you in".

In my mid 30's, I wanted to hear a story from my granny. Though, the sheer joy of listening to a story as felt in childhood was missing altogether. But then heart desired to do so.? Life in a state of gloominess made it hard to accept the world and people living in it. The desire to fly away to a fairyland where life was beautiful and miracles could vanish the problems forever, made the child within to shed the full-grown state of mind and body of thirty years old. The eyes widened as broad as they could to hear the marvels of the tale, though they were not new......time has flown and so has the heart which no more desires for the same..... But each tale will always continue to inspire all the sagging souls till eternity.

I WAS BORN AS A 'LOVING BUD', NURTURED WITH 'LOVE AND CARE'.

The culture of our country is both vast and varied. All the cultures are beautiful and grand in there own way but the most impressive and youthful culture is of Punjab. The moment a Punjabi gets down to speak the largeness of the heart gets expressed by the words and of course, in deeds in a 'pure Punjabi style'. The beauty of life is best weaved by the Punjabi songs; they make an ordinary soul also to tap their feet's with no professional dance skills... Aaj a Nachley.....dil mera sona sona... Of course, the taste of the flavour of the Punjabi food is a delight in itself....lassi da glass add to the savour of having makki di roti with sarso da saag. The completeness of the rich culture of Punjab is brought about by its folklores, Soni Mahiwal....till date remain a symbol of true love. I am proud to be born a Punjabi...oo.ho..ho!!!

Imagine, how a life without a cake would be???????? Awful!!.......bitter....very dull and lifeless. Well!!!! Imagining a life without it would be like a life with no icing and spongy spongy cake to put teeth's into. No occasion would be so sweet without a knife cutting into it and certainly a sugary mouthful bite into it and to smear the face of the Birthday boy or girl of the day with it. Hey!!!! But no foolish statements "if people don't have breads to eat why don't they have cakes", certainly with no improper intention to cause another revolution to make history....so lets have enough breads....and cakes atleast to grace special occasions.

IN LIFE THERE ARE CERTAIN THINGS WHICH COME TO STAY WITH US AND SO EXPRESSION OF THEM THROUGH VARIOUS WAYS AND MEANS, WITH OUR LIVES CENTRING MORE AROUND THE 'EMOTIONAL QUOTIENT' AND MORE POPULAR 'SPIRITUAL QUOTIENT', THE EXPRESSION OF OUR 'DISLIKES' HAVE BECOME A CHANNEL TO EXPRESS OUR 'ABHORS FOR THINGS' WHICH WE DON'T LIKE EITHER AT AN INDIVIDUAL OR AT THE SOCIETAL LEVEL.

THE MOMENT WE START TO THINK AND EXPRESS, THE EXPRESSION OF OUR 'DISLIKES' CERTAINLY FINDS A WAY IN AND THIS IS WHAT PROMPTED ME TO THINK AND PEN DOWN MY THOUGHTS ON IT TODAY.

IT WAS AN ALTOGETHER A DIFFERENT FEELING WHICH BRIGHTENED MY DAY AND MADE ME HAPPY DEEP WITHIN AFTER A LONG TIME.

IT ALL STARTED WITH THE SECOND LAST LECTURE OF THE DAY, WHEN I ALONG WITH OTHER COLLEAGUE OF MINE HAD TO TAKE A PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CLASS.....AS THE SESSION HAS BEGUN.... I ASKED MY COLLEAGUE WHAT SHE HAD IN MIND TO TAKE IN THE CLASS.. PROMPT CAME HER REPLY, 'AN INTRODUCTION BY THE STUDENTS FOLLOWED BY EACH ONE OF THEM EXPRESSING HIS OR HER LIKE AND DISLIKE'.

THE CLASS STARTED AND TURN BY TURN EACH STUDENT STOOD UP TO SPEAK....A NORMAL ROUTINE AFFAIR TURNED INTO A HAPPY AND DESIRABLE FEELING WHEN THE LEAST EXPECTED 'DISLIKE' POURED OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF THE 'YOUNG CHAPS'...ESPECIALLY, WHO HAVE JUST STEPPED ON TO A NEW PATH OF HIGHER LEARNING ....BUT WITH A STRONG CONVICTION TO CONTROL THEIR LIFE'S AND TO LIVE IT IN A DISCIPLINED WAY.

A STRONG WILLED EXPRESSION OF 'DISLIKE' LEFT ME WONDERSTRUCK....AND HONESTLY, A SUSPICION IN MY MIND IF THEY REALLY MEANT IT...THEY DID.... 'DISLIKE'..YES, 'DISLIKE'...DISLIKE FOR CIGARETTES, ALCOHOL AND VIOLENCE....YES, 'DISLIKE' FOR THEM....IT MADE ME HOLD MY HEAD WITH PRIDE....THEY HAD MADE 'THEMSELVES' PROUD AND 'US' BEFORE PROVING THEIR METTLE WITH A GOOD RESULT, TRUE VIRTUES TO IMBIBE, WITH NO YARDSTICKS WORTH MEASURING THEM.

THIS FEELING WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED BY ME....CERTAINLY, ON A LIGHTER SIDE, THERE WAS ALSO A CUTE REPLY, 'I DISLIKE DRINKING MILK'......

'HURT', IT HURTS TO SAY THAT IT 'HURTS'...SURPRISINGLY, IT HURTS TO KNOW....THAT AN INCORRECT BEHAVIOUR ON YOUR PART, TO MAKE THE OTHER PERSON EXPERIENCE THE SAME PAIN...

'FEELS HURTS', WHO HIMSELF HAD INFLICTED THE 'HURT'. IF IT HURTS THEN WHY PEOPLE FAIL TO REALISE, THAT IT MUST HAVE HURT THE OTHER PERSON ALSO IN THE SAME WAY AS IT DID THEM ON WHOM THEY HAD SHOWERED. HURT, STRANGE IT HURTS TO KNOW THAT IT 'HURTS' FROM THOSE WHO HURT......
